My first thought when seeing this video was, ‘OH MY GOD… KILL IT WITH FIRE!’ Then I calmed down and realized it was just some bumpkin from Texas who is apparently bored with winning so he created ~~a real doll~~ a puppet replica of Rangers manager Ron Washington… either that or Flavor Flav is a lot harder up for cash than I had originally thought. Texas is 7-8 this month and I think their fan base can start putting the blame solely on this glorified voodoo doll… although to be completely honest if you were to make a ‘Looks Most like a Creepy Pinochio Style Marionette’ Manager Power Rankings – Wash jumps quickly to the top of that list. They could also blame the rational things like slumping hitters or Josh Hamilton’s inability to stay healthy, but rationality goes out the window when your fans have their mother in pieces in a freezer while they take two weeks to make a Ron Washington puppet.

If you are not excited for the Masters this weekend you are probably an asshole. I personally will be watching more baseball than golf, but it does not change that this event holds a special place in my heart. Tim Kurkjian is one of more interesting and unique baseball writers in America. This has made him one of my all-time favorites, but it has also made him ripe for parody. Whether it be his lack of height, high pitched voice, fetishization of the term ‘live ball era’, love of obscure stats or his hairy Armenian mother - there is plenty of material there. Recently during a Spring Training interview Brewers relief pitcher Tim Dillard hit on all of the high notes (sadly, except the mom stuff) in a spot on Kurkjian impression. This has quickly shot Dillard near the top of my Favorite Current Brewers Power Ranking list. This is great news for Dillard as past members of the top spot have long proud traditions of staying Brewers. Players like Jeff Cirillo, Lyle Overbay, Scott Podsednik, Carlos Lee, JJ Hardy, Alcides Escobar, Prince Fielder and of course Casey ‘The Vig’ McGehee… look for him in a Nationals jersey by mid August. A special thanks to friend of the program Austin Herdina for pointing out the Devil Rays infielder Elliot Johnson talking about their staff as Timmy K. I hope this is a craze that catches on all over America, more Kurkjian impressions please.

If you were not excited for the SEC Championship game this weekend, then I am going to let a mustachio’d Wayne Arnold from The Wonder Years pump you up. Good work Georgia, this really has everything you need in a song - bad dialogue, references to viral videos that will make it feel dated in 5 weeks and more ‘talk rapping’ than a shitty Drake song (although, using shitty as a qualifier really does not narrow that down). What are these kids doing? Then again it makes perfect sense that an SEC school released this song. Awful rap and great football are about as Southern as sweet tea and being irrationally fearful of minorities.

I could pull a ‘Brandon’ in which I am given the responsibility of posting picks and then just not do it. But that’s not what I am about. Unfortunately extenuating circumstances (hangovers) have stopped me from writing an actual post. So no one thinks I am lying, here is a photo of of the piece of paper with our picks on it. Around noon I will wake up and type something, but for now I need to focus on not having a ‘day after drinking vomit’.
